How to keep a trading journal that actually improves your results
A journal turns trades into lessons. Without one you repeat the same mistakes and remember only the big wins.
Record for every trade: date and time, direction, entry, stop, target, risk in dollars, result in R, the reason you took it, a screenshot, and how you felt. Also record trades you skipped.
Review weekly: which setups paid, which hours and days lost, how often you broke your own rules, and your average R. Look for one thing to stop and one thing to repeat.
Our members get a free trade journal with automatic R statistics. Even a spreadsheet beats nothing.
Education only. This is not financial advice. Trading gold with leverage involves a high risk of losing money.
